In my opinion, I would definatelydefinitely choose Option A, which is building a community centre, because I thinkbelieve it will be more beneficalbeneficial for the neighbourhood thenthan a park. Firstly, a community centre can provide alota ofwide differentrange of programs and activities for peoplespeople of all ages. For example, there can be classes for children, fitness programs for adults, and also social events for seniors. This is veryessential important because it brings the community more closer together and givegives everyone something to enjoy. Secondly, a community centre is useableusable all year long, notunlike like a park which is mostly goodenjoyable only in the summer. In Canada, the winters are very long and cold, so having aan indoor space where people can go and do activitesactivities is much more practical and helpfullhelpful. In conclusion, while a park is also niceappealing, I believe a community centre would have a moregreater bigger positive impact because it offers year-round programs and brings diverse groups of people toghethertogether. That is why I strongly support Option A.

    Frequently Asked

    CELPIP Test FAQs

Common questions about the CELPIP test, practice requirements, and Canadian immigration scores.

CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) is a computer-based English language proficiency test accepted for Canadian immigration, citizenship applications, and professional designations. The test evaluates your English skills in Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking, and takes approximately 3 hours to complete.

CELPIP is often considered more straightforward for test-takers familiar with Canadian English and computer-based testing. CELPIP features Canadian accents, is completed entirely on a computer in one sitting, and results are available in 4-5 business days. The test format is consistent and uses multiple-choice questions for Listening and Reading sections, which some find easier than IELTS. Read our complete CELPIP vs IELTS comparison.

Yes. Celpify ships with 20 full CELPIP mock tests in the official format. Take all four sections back-to-back as a ~3-hour simulation, or drill a single skill in 15-60 minutes (Speaking runs ~15-20 min, Listening 47-55 min, Writing 53-60 min, Reading 55-60 min). Reading and Listening auto-score against the CLB chart; Writing and Speaking are evaluated by AI in under a minute against the published rubric.

The complete CELPIP-General test takes approximately 3 hours. This includes Listening (47-55 minutes), Reading (55-60 minutes), Writing (53-60 minutes), and Speaking (15-20 minutes). All sections are completed in one sitting on the same day, unlike some other tests where speaking may be scheduled separately.

A good CELPIP score depends on the program. CLB 7 (CELPIP 7 in each skill) is the floor for most Canadian immigration streams. Express Entry candidates compete on CRS points, and the math rewards higher scores hard: CLB 9 grants 31 CRS points per skill versus 17 at CLB 7 — a 56-point swing across the four skills before you factor in spousal or education bonuses. Aim for CLB 9+ to unlock the language sub-totals that move CRS rankings.

Effective CELPIP preparation includes taking full-length practice tests, focusing on weak sections with targeted drills, studying with authentic test materials, and familiarizing yourself with the computer-based format. Practice under timed conditions to build test-taking stamina and time management skills. Explore our study materials for comprehensive CELPIP preparation resources.

You do not calculate a CELPIP score by hand. Each skill is scored on the CELPIP scale from M (minimal) up to 12, and that number maps one-to-one to a Canadian Language Benchmark (CELPIP 9 = CLB 9). Listening and Reading are converted from your number of correct answers using the official CELPIP conversion, which celpip.ca describes as an approximate guide; Writing and Speaking are rated against the official CELPIP rubric. To see what a level means for immigration, use a CLB converter and the skill score charts on Celpify.

Yes! Celpify allows you to practice individual sections separately. You can focus on just Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking tasks, or any combination you need. This targeted approach helps you use your study time more efficiently and focus on your weakest areas.

CELPIP-General includes all four language skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) and is required for most Canadian immigration programs. CELPIP-General LS only tests Listening and Speaking, typically used for citizenship applications. Our platform supports both test types with targeted practice materials.

Preparation time varies by individual, but most students need 4-8 weeks of consistent practice. We recommend taking at least 3-5 of the 20 full mock tests on Celpify and focusing extra time on your weakest sections. Regular practice with the authentic test format helps build familiarity and confidence.

Most immigration programs require CLB 7 (CELPIP score of 7) across all four skills, though some programs like Canadian Experience Class may accept CLB 5-6 for certain skills. Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs typically require CLB 7 or higher. Use our CLB converter tool to convert your CELPIP scores to CLB levels.

CLB 7 means a Canadian Language Benchmark of 7, and CELPIP maps to it one-to-one — a CELPIP level 7 in a skill is CLB 7 in that skill. To claim CLB 7 you need at least level 7 in all four skills. It is the most common minimum-eligibility benchmark: Express Entry's Federal Skilled Worker stream and many Provincial Nominee and Canadian Experience Class streams require CLB 7. For Express Entry CRS points it is a floor, not a target — higher benchmarks (CLB 9+) earn substantially more points. Use our CLB converter tool to map every CELPIP level to its CLB.

CELPIP Reading has 38 scored questions. The official CELPIP scoring converts your number of correct answers to a CELPIP level (1 to 12) using a form-specific table that the official sample tests describe as an approximate guide, so there is no single fixed value for every test. A raw score around 33 out of 38 generally corresponds to a high CELPIP Reading level, but the exact level depends on the test form. Check the CELPIP Reading score chart for the band ranges.
