How CELPIP Writing works
A quick look at the official CELPIP Writing format.
Practice both CELPIP Writing tasks: Task 1 (writing an email) and Task 2 (responding to survey questions). Every prompt follows the official format, with the same word counts and time limits. Your answer is scored like the real test on content and coherence, vocabulary, readability, and task fulfillment, so you can see exactly what to improve before test day.
The CELPIP Writing section takes about 53 to 60 minutes. Task 1 gives you 27 minutes to write an email of 150 to 200 words. Task 2 gives you 26 minutes to choose a side on a survey question and defend it in 150 to 200 words.
Writing fewer than 150 words usually lowers your task fulfillment score. Going a little over the upper limit is fine. The AI feedback is scored like the real test. Use it to see what to fix between practice sessions.
